We will dance all night in a Fais do-do
And hold each other tightly as we sway
Until the sun rises on the bayou
Amidst the darkness of a moonless night
I saw a shooting star up in the sky
Just like your lovely smile that shines so bright
It never fails to lift my spirits high
My mind wanders to a tropical isle
With white sand beaches by a turquoise sea
And where time stands still as I stay a while
My eyes feast on beautiful things to see
