Thief
Like a thief in the night, you stole my heart
Beguiled by your beauty lost in your gaze
I fell under your spell right from the start
When you set my heart to a fiery blaze
Like a thief in the night, you stole my heart
Beguiled by your beauty lost in your gaze
I fell under your spell right from the start
When you set my heart to a fiery blaze
My mind wanders off into the distance
To faraway places I do not know
Where wizards roam and the knights slay dragons
But I always find a way back to you
Woke up when the roosters began to crow
Before the sun was to rise into view
And then the colors turned a fiery hue
The day greeted good morning with a show
She is a butterfly and floats so free
The loveliest thing I have ever seen
She flies to the flowers so close to me
Fluttering her wings like a beauty queen
My Soliloquy, Volume 2 is a collection of Shakespearean sonnets that I have written over the years and paired with my own photographs. Poetry and photography are both hobbies of mine.
