September
The wind greeted me with a nice cool breeze
While the ocean wanted to say hello
The waves played a symphony with their sighs
Crashing against the rocky shores below
The sun hung low above the horizon
As the haze crept in, but otherwise clear
She sat near the windows across the room
Lighting up the place with the smile she wore
She dressed in just a t-shirt and blue jeans
While walnut locks adorned her pretty face
The sun disappeared with its last light beams
Getting lost perhaps in her sultry gaze
I will always, in my heart, remember
When I met her that day in September
